Argosy Gaming Company
Argosy Gaming Company is absolute market leader in gambling industry which is extremely fast-growing. It operates six riverboat casinos located on the Mississippi, Ohio and Missouri Rivers that attract clients from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Louisiana, Kansas, Illinois and Missouri. The first riverboat casino was opened by Argosy in Illinois (Alton) in 1991. In 1993 it went public and in 1994 opened casinos in Iowa, Riverside, Louisiana, Sioux City, Baton Rouge and Missouri. The Argosy VI was fairly the biggest gaming project of the company and was planned for opening in 1997 in Indiana. During the 1990s Argosy was one only group in the whole country that was licensed in every cruising state.

Features: Argosy typically conducts nine cruises seven days a week, with an additional cruise on Friday and Saturday evenings, for a total of 65 two-hour cruises (boarding time - 30min) per week. The dockside gaming in Indiana is permitted only if the weather and water conditions are not favorable for cruising.
The complex: a hotel with 300 rooms, 200,000 sq ft, land-based pavilion of entertainments and entertainment lounge, 350-seat restaurant and 2 more special restaurants, parking garage.
At the beginning of this century, Argosy gained the minority interests within Indiana Gaming Company, and the Indiana partnership owned and operated Lawrenceburg casino. Before this acquisition, the Company was a partner of Conseco Entertainment (57.5%).
